We believe that it takes a village to raise a child. That's why P.S. 305 and PAMM are bringing the community together to celebrate and appreciate Miami's educators. Through our Teacher Appreciation Happy Hour, we are bringing together Miami-Dade County educators and community organizations for a Happy Hour at the PAMM with the goal of discussing ways to improve education in Miami, highlighting local programs that support teachers, and celebrating national teacher appreciation week.
The Red Cross is bringing together locals who would like to volunteer and work alongside fire departments, and other local groups, to provide smoke alarm services. Attendees will get to know local heroes by being a part of this connection experience. You will also have the opportunity to visit homes that are at-risk for home fires to install free smoke alarms, replace batteries in existing alarms, and educate families about fire prevention and safety.
The YWCA invites all South Florida Locals from all walks of life for an interfaith breakfast to have a conversation about social justice and how we all can play a role in ending the over-policing, profiling, and criminalization of youth. At this interfaith breakfast, we aim to unite religious groups, schools and social services. Join us as we connect through our shared humanity and find solutions to save our youth.
