“From Sinai to Selma,” will explore the shared history and achievements of the Jewish and African-American communities. The Children’s Services Council and the Jewish Federation of Broward is bringing together South Florida locals for the screening of  the film, From Swastika to Jim Crow, which illuminates the story of Jewish intellectuals who escaped Nazi Germany and then faced anti-Semitism in the U.S., only to be embraced by Historically Black Colleges and Universities in the segregated South. The film screening will be followed by a panel discussion that covers the history and present-day collaborations among Jews and African-Americans in Broward.
