Sound the Alarm - Lauderhill

The Red Cross is bringing together locals who would like to volunteer and work alongside fire departments, and other local groups, to provide smoke alarm services. Attendees will get to know local heroes by being a part of this connection experience. You will also have the opportunity to visit homes that are at-risk for home fires to install free smoke alarms, replace batteries in existing alarms, and educate families about fire prevention and safety.

The Red Cross is one of the organizations that we can rely on when it comes to disasters. Did you know that the disasters they respond to the most often are home fires? On average, they respond to home fires every 20 hours in South Florida, and they want to do everything they can to prevent needless tragedies while also providing an opportunity for the community to engage with one another. Come and meet your amazing Red Cross volunteer workforce, firefighters, and other local organizations, in an experience where we all help to preserve our community, together.
